David wrote:

Good evening!

I am interested in studying some Catholic traditions.

I would like to know how to bless water and make it holy so that I can bless
my bedroom and myself.

I wish to use it for protection from evil and for good health.

Thanks,

Dave

Mike replied:

Hi, David —

Go to a Catholic priest and ask him to bless your water.

Some parishes have pre-made bottles of holy water or holy water fonts that contain holy water, usually at the entrance to a Catholic parish. If the parish doesn't have any pre-made bottles of holy water, just get a bottle container at a local Catholic or Christian gift store; they are usually plastic, and fill it up at the entrance to the Church.

We believe that when the priest blesses the water, Jesus, in the person of the priest, blesses the water.

Deacons can also bless water.

I hope this helps.
