Hi, guys —

How did the twelve Apostles die?

David

  { How did the twelve Apostles die? }

Eric replied:

Hi, David —

The Twelve Apostles, except for one, were martyred in various ways.

The exception is John, who lived out his life in Ephesus.

  • Peter was crucified upside-down in Rome.
  • Thomas was martyred probably in India.
  • James son of Zebedee, according to the book of Acts, was executed by the sword by Agrippa I (Acts 12:1-2).

If you want the details of the others' death, I recommend looking each of them up in Wikipedia or in the old Catholic Encyclopedia <http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/>.

For a list of Apostles, see <http://www.newadvent.org/bible/mar003.htm#vrs14> or
Mark 3:13-19.

Does this answer your question?
