Hi, guys —

What happen to Mary, Jesus' mother, after Jesus died and where did she go according to the King James Bible. It doesn't say anything.

  • Can you tell me?

Dorothy

  { What happen to Mary, Jesus' mother, after Jesus died and where did she go according to the Bible? }

Mike replied:

Hi Dot!

This is a common question; it's even in our searchable knowledge base.

There are a lot of quick answers there, so give it a try.

I searched the knowledge base for you and found these web postings that should help answer your question:

You won't be able to find anything specifically in the Bible on this topic but Catholic do — because we accept and believe in Oral Tradition just as much as the Written Scriptures.

Oral Traditions are those divine teachings which have been passed down by word of mouth.

Oral Tradition tells us that Mary was taken up into Heaven body and soul at a given time.

You can find Scriptural support for this on my Scripture Passages page:

I hope this helps,

Mike
