Dear Lenver,
Sorry, it took a while to get back to you.
The best way to understand Jesus is to read the New Testament, especially the Gospels, until one feels soaked in the Scriptures.
In order to understand the meaning in the context of what He said and what He wants from us, young Catholics should read a Catechism like You-Cat which you can find in my AskACatholic library.
It would also serve them well to study up on Catholic Apologetics and the Early Church Fathers.
In this area, James Akin, Scott Hahn, and Mike Aquilina are three of my favorites along with Patrick Madrid and our friends on the west coast at Catholic Answers. There are other very good defenders of the Church as well!
The basics of living life the right way include renewing your Sunday Covenant by attending Sunday Mass on a weekly basis (and daily Mass if possible) along with going to monthly Confession and developing a daily prayer life.
I hope this helps,
Mike
