Hi, guys —
At the time of death, one goes to meet Jesus and stand in front of Him in order to be judged. If one is dead there is only a soul but no body, so there are no senses but we socialize with people through the senses.
- How can one talk with Jesus without a body?
- On the other hand, God, the Father, talks without having a body, right?
- And if you can exist without a body, it means the body is secondary to the soul, or am I wrong?
- What is the Catholic thought on these issues?

John replied:
Dear Henrik,
The soul or spirit communicates in the spirit realm in ways we don't know or understand.
The body isn't secondary at all. God created man to have body and soul and He put so much importance on it, that He Himself became Man and took on a Body, which He will have for eternity.
Also, on the Last Day, all men will receive their bodies back, even the damned.
Hope this helps,
John
