Hi, guys —
I am trying to resolve a debate about whether (nuns, monks, priests, etc.) have to sit in a specific place for Mass and other services.
Possibly they have different locations based on their position? . . . I don't know. Some say the last row, some say the front row, others are all over the place with their opinions.
- Can you chime in with some actual rules or guidelines?
Thank you,
William

William,
Priests not serving at the altar, sisters and nuns, monks and brothers, do not have an assigned seating in a parish church except perhaps by parish custom.
At their own monastery or convent, religious often will have a special place to sit, called choir.
