Hi, guys —

  • In the Gospel of Mark, Mark 1:21-26, is the evil spirit, satan?
  • Some Bibles say unclean spirit, but is it a demon, satan, or is it something else?
  • And who is the us it is referring to in verse 24?

I'm wondering if it's the other demons or the other people in the synagogue.

Thank you,

Sarah

Eric replied:

Hi, Sarah —

Sorry for the delay in answering your question.

The text does not say that it was satan so this assumption can't be made.

It was a demon of some sort. The us is the demonic host (the other demons you mention).

Eric

Thank you Eric.
