FREE Catechism of the Catholic Church for Protestants, (and non-Christians) Program (CCCFPP)

FREE Catechism of the Catholic Church for Protestants, (and non-Christians) Program (CCCFPP)
Catechism of the Catholic Church for Protestants, and non-Christians Program (CCCFPP)

Due to the passing of my mother, Dorothy Humphrey on January 31, 2011,
I will have to run this and my other apostolates, sporadically, and on a donation basis. I've been unemployed for a long period of time and the Lord has not provided me with any work where I can support myself or my apostolates. Your prayers for my apostolates and employment would be appreciated.

If you have heard positive things about the specific packages I have put together and sent to people and wish to donate to support this apostolate,
you can do so at:

http://www.askacatholic.com/donate

If you know of any famous sports figures or people who are Catholic and financially prosperous, who would be willing to fund this apostolate, please have the e-mail me  @ mike.humphrey@rcn.com.

Current status: ACTIVE: Just click on the Catechism

For some browsers like Google Chrome, the clicking on the image of the Catechism does not work. LOL

You would think with the money Google has, they could afford a browser that works.

Nevertheless, if this is the case with you, please e-mail the type of browser with version number (e.g. IE 7.0) along with the information in numbers 1 to 10. below to:

mike.humphrey@rcn.com

Please put the following text exactly as it is below in the subject line of your e-mail request:

I am a seeking Protestant who wants to participate in the CCCFPP.

How does it work?

If any Protestant is:

  • being drawn to the faith
  • thinking about becoming a Catholic OR
  • is just interested in learning more about what the Roman Catholic Church believes and why, yet lacks the money

if they send me their first and last name along with their snail/postal address I'll send them a FREE, Vatican approved, copy of Catechism of the Catholic Church. Just tell me where you want me to mail it by sending me your postal address. Although in places this program may be referred to as the CCCPP, sincere seeking Jewish or Muslims who are thinking about becoming Catholic are welcome as well!

There is only one practical prohibition: I'm assuming that you:

  • Can read and understand English
  • are age appropriate (16 years of age or older)

Why am I doing this?

To visitors outside the United States of America: I am sorry.

Due to the cost of shipping Catechisms around the world and a lengthy period of unemployment I have had, I CAN ONLY ship to the 50 United States of America. I hope the Lord will provide me with the finances to keep this apostolate going.

Due to the increase in visitors to our site, I'll do my best to keep this apostolate going, as I am the only one funding this program. Please keep this program in your prayers.

EXCEPTION TO THIS:

Because all of us at AskACatholic appreciate and respect those in the military and their service to our country in protecting us from demonic forces around the world, both, the FREE Catechism and Rosary only programs, are open to all non-Catholic military personnel who are overseas. I wish I could open this to Catholic military personnel as well, but I don't think I could maintain it. We just have too many members in the Church.

REQUIRED INFORMATION THAT MUST BE IN YOUR E-MAIL :

  1. Your FIRST and LAST name.
  2. Your current denomination (Christian is not good enough. Catholics are Christians.) OR
the mainstream protestant denomination you were brought up in.
(If you don't belong to mainstream protestant faith or are church hopping,
    Non-denominational Christian is OK.
    Don't say Protestant
as the purpose of this question is to find theological background information.)

I only have SOFT cover Catechisms

  3. Your complete, fully spelled out postal address (No state abbreviations) including country and zip code.
  4. Either YES or NO to - Do you wish to share you e-mail with other participants who have participated in THIS program and may be on a similar faith journey as you are currently on.
  5. Pick three of your favorite color(s):
Blue, Red, Green, Pink, Brown, White, Aqua Blue, Light Blue, Policeman Yellow, Luminous, Black
  6. Pick one:

I have both a VCR that can play VHS tapes and an audio cassette player that can play audio cassette tapes.
I have neither a VCR nor audio cassette player.
I have a VCR but NO audio cassette player.
I have an audio cassette player but no VCR.

  7. Do you want to be on our new Web Page for Wannabes.
If interested, go to this page, click on the "Click here" link on that page, where it says: Start sharing what you have learned

  8. Optional but helpful: Due to the type of new media evangelization we are involved in, I never have any idea of how old each participant is. If you can share with me your "age range", it will help me, help you. I can drop in more age-appropriate material. e.g. If you are 16-19 I may have a teen Catechism I can send you.
  9. Check the NO-NO criteria below AND if you share this program with other Protestant or non-Catholic friends PLEASE send them to THIS registration page. I receive a lot of e-mails from interested participants who only send me only a portion of all the required information.

My reply: Hey guys, I'm not asking for much.

I've created an easy to remember short cut:

    http://www.AskACatholic.com/CCCFPP

  10. Please pray for this specific apostolate as well as the other on-line ministries I maintain.

I HAVE developed a custom cover for the SOFT COVER Catechism of the Catholic Church, and would like to sell it to a company willing to support me financially. All I would ask in return are FREE Catechism covers for my Catechism apostolate. If you ARE the head of a company OR know someone that heads a company that is interested in helping me you can e-mail me about the issue.[As a suggestion. If I send you a SOFT cover, you can go to a local book or religious store and search for a sturdy Bible Cover that will  fit and protect your Catechism from environmental elements.]

Nothing will be sent unless I have been e-mailed information from numbers 1. through 10. above.

For short, if you cannot read the above instructions, you won't be able to read any Catechism
I send you
, so it would be a waste of my time and money.

The FREE Holy Rosary Program for Protestants program, has been incorporated into this program, so you don't need to apply to two different programs. You can use the same graphic at the bottom of this page to apply to both. If you do not think you will have the time to read the Catechism, but are still interested in the Holy Rosary, you can apply for that program HERE.

NO-NO's - DO NOT use any other e-mail other then YOUR OWN! An e-mail where I can reach YOU personally. Although it is a minority, it has been very heartbreaking when I send a Catechism to someone and I NEVER hear back from them via a response or confirmation e-mail. (It has happened eight times!)

DO NOT use this apostolate to send a Catechism to any one else other then oneself.
If you think a Protestant friend or family member may be interested in obtaining and reading a FREE Catechism of the Catholic Church, tell them to visit this page.

This apostolate is NOT to be used as an indirect mechanism for false evangelization. As Catholics, we do NOT believe in coercing people to do something they are not interested in and the there is a lot of money and effort put into this apostolate.

It is intended for sincere seeking non-Catholics.

Out of courtesy to me and the time and effort I put into this free apostolate, in Christian charity I would expect:

  • that you are there when I send it
  • THAT YOU E-MAIL ME WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT
and most of all: that you take the time to read it. :)

Why am I doing this?

I don't think someone should have to pay, to learn about

a faith they know little or nothing about.

It's that simple! When I faith-share with my colleagues I remind them that the enemy is not a person; the enemy is ignorance of the faith! Like my good friend, Fr. Dan use to say:

"Faith-sharing is just one beggar showing another beggar where The Bread is!"

Side note: I tend to throw in a few extra things. If you are not interested in them, just respectfully put them in your top desk drawer.

Out of date, I know. I plan to update this soon.

From April 2004 to January 5, 2009, 174 Catechisms have been mailed out to Protestants.
103 in 2008: Including:

Again, I don't want to send out a Catechism, just to have it gather dust; If you want one, it is my expectation that you will strive to make the time to read it. :)

If you tell others about this program, PLEASE tell them to visit this page so they can read the requirements. Thanks!

After reading about the program below, click the image to the left and send the required information.

Note 1: I have no Hard Covers left. Sorry.

Note 2: E-mail communication is critical to the proper functioning of these apostolates.

Sorry, my Catholic brothers have to buy their own :)
