Welcome to a new service to the Christifideles Pizza and Theology web site: The "Close Orthodox Catholic Friend Finder (COCFF).

This, I believe, is "an exclusive first" to Catholic web sites. It gives the practicing Catholic who is loyal to the magisterium a means by which he can:

• meet practicing Catholics in neighboring towns and cities and
• hopefully find practicing Catholics he/she can share their thoughts, concerns, problems, and spiritual needs in search for a resolution. A resolution that priests and bishops loyal to the Holy Father would be happy with.

SURFER BEWARE: Because I cannot get to know everyone personally who visits my web site, and those who join the COCFF program, I strongly encourage you to verify that you are developing solid CATHOLIC friendships.

• Believe that the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a sure norm for catechesis or teaching.
• ......and that it is free from error.
• Believe in the validity of all the counsels from Nicea to Vatican II and its documents.
• Believe in the validity of both the Ordo and Tridentine Masses without politicizing either.

Technical credits: This program was developed with help from two java scripts, the address book template was by Roland Hentschel  from Berlin, Germany and the Mail form template was by Neil McCorrison , a Junior at the University of Northern Colorado studying Computer Science.

As of Thursday, May 31st, 2003, 141 Catholics have signed up!  128 in America from 38 of the 50 United States of America. Outside the states, 13 others have signed up from 8 different countries on five continents.  (If this number seems a lot lower then what you remember from your last visit, see our IMPORTANT NOTE below.) IMPORTANT NOTE: You can't meet fellow practicing Catholics if we don't have a valid e-mail for you. Since our Catholic friend connection service has been on-line we have had up to 223 Catholics sign-up. It was only recently during the last week in May 2003 that I verified the COCFF'r E-mails, just to find out that - 40% - of those that had originally signed up, changed their e-mail, without notifying me. Out of 223 e-mails in the Friend Finder, only 131 were valid. I was shocked at these numbers but figured, if the people with invalid e-mails, signed up, they still wanted to meet other Catholics near them. ... So if you have changed your e-mail address please e-mail me your new one.
