Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
The eternal consequences of sins we repent of and disclose in Confession are forgiven, but there are two elements here.
- One is sins that we do not repent of, and it is easy to say careless words and not repent.
- Two, sins have consequences that are not remitted in the absolution of confession; this is where Purgatory comes into play (see 1 Corinthians 3:12-15).
