I expect it varies from order to order, and we don't have access to those texts, but it would be in the context of the other vows of chastity and obedience.

I just want to know what exactly is vowed, I understand there are vows for chastity, obedience and poverty, I just wanted to know exactly what is said.

What is vowed is simply "poverty". This is understood implicitly as not owning any personal property; everything is communal.
According to the Catholic Encyclopedia:
| "The vow of poverty may generally be defined as the promise made to God of a certain constant renunciation of temporal goods in order to follow Christ. The object of the vow of poverty is anything visible, material, and appreciable at a monetary value. . . . The vow of poverty entirely forbids independent use, and sometimes, the acquisition or possession of such property as it falls within its scope. A person who has made this vow gives up the right to acquire, possess, use, or dispose of property except in accordance with the will of his superior." |
