Hi, guys —

  • Where in the Bible, does it have Veronica wiping the face of Jesus.

I have heard this all my life at the Stations of the Cross but cannot find it.

Thank you for any information you can provide.

Robert

  { Where in the Bible, does Veronica wipe the face of Jesus, as seen in the Stations of the Cross? }

Bob replied:

Robert,

There is no explicit reference to Veronica in the Bible, but rather tradition has posited her story.

You can find some good information here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Veronica

There are references to the Catholic Encyclopedia and other useful sources therein.

Peace,

Bob Kirby
