Thanks for the question.

We have by nature many human desires but probably the two most common desires to men and women is:

• our appetite for food, and
  
• our appetite for sex
  

Both are good, when used properly, but these are just earthly human appetites.

The deepest human desire, one that can only be obtained through a well-formed Catholic Christian conscience, is our appetite for God, the Eternal Appetite.

That's my angle. My colleagues may have another.
