Hi, guys —
A married Catholic couple has been practicing the rhythm method of family planning successfully for ten years since their marriage. They are committed Catholics who have no real urgency of having children and who have never, nor will ever, use artificial forms of birth control. They have a full, rich, sex life and the satisfaction and richness of the love they have for one another.
- Are they, in any way, committing a serious sin against God?
- Where is this addressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church?
My reasoning is this: The couple is completely satisfied with the life they are living.
- Is this a misuse of the gift they have been given?
