I don't know exactly where that phrase
came from, but it does seem to have
have Scriptural foundation. Just
read the book of Job.
I think we should see its truth
in the context of the faithful, as
in:
28 All things work together
for the good to those who love
God. (Romans 8:28)
The faithful are offered the grace
to withstand anything — even
death of a loved one or the death
of the self. Ultimately, that faith
leads to the resurrection which is
the center of the Christian faith.
