We start with Divine Revelation which is transmitted through Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition.

Theology is the study of this Revelation; the fruit of this study is doctrine.

Biblical Theology is the more narrow field of studying the Scripture for the purpose of uncovering insights which better help us understand Divine Revelation.

It is also the name given to Biblical explanations for our doctrines.
