Hi, guys —
I have a list of 20 different things wrong with me health-wise. The worst are terminal cancer,
a very bad back, and high blood pressure.
I'm in remission and generally get around OK but really prefer to be at home.
- Would it be OK for me to stay home and have Holy Communion brought to me weekly rather than going to Mass?

Because of my health, instead of going to Mass, can I have Communion brought to my home? }

Bob replied:
Ken,
It is customary for most parishes to have a ministry to the infirm and home bound who cannot make it to Mass for health reasons. If you contact your parish I'm sure they can make arrangements to bring you Holy Communion. You can also access the T.V. Mass on cable if you get EWTN or (BCTV) Boston Catholic Television or another local station.
Don't worry, God knows your struggle and the desire of your heart and He will bless you inasmuch as your heart is turned to Him in all things.
Peace,
Bob Kirby

Ken replied:
Hi Bob,
Thank you for understanding.
Right now that helps as much as anything. If Mike doesn't get to see this please tell him I send a special Thank you. He helped me back to Church some years ago, when I first got sick, via the web site and his encouragement. I thought you all might like to know that. You encouraged me and it helped, so I figure a little encouragement from me to you all might help too.
God bless.
