Hi, guys —
. . . and peace be with you.
I have been a Catholic since I've been 3-months-old and I can safely say it is one of the best things to ever happen to me.
I love this faith and God Himself so much, and because I have this love, I want to make sure I am not intentionally offending our Lord and Savior.
My parents are divorced and I was going to my father's this weekend. He made plans with my family to see them on Sunday but the family got sick so we couldn't go to see them. I was told they were sick, right when Mass was beginning at my local parish and, from my dad's place, I couldn't make it in time so I ended up missing my weekly obligation.
- Under these circumstances, did I commit a sin?
I don't want to offend God.
- Do I need to confess my sins before I receive Holy Communion?
Thank you so much for your time and God bless everyone!
