Toni DiBernardo wrote:

Good Morning Mike,

I have been researching my DiBernardo family history and recently found out that I was a cousin of Archbishop-Monsignor Carmine Rocco and that we both grew up in Camigliano, Caserta, Italy.

I have been lucky enough to find a lot of wonderful articles about him on the web.

I am trying to locate a picture of him to add to my family history book as well as the scrap booking album for my family.

  • Can you direct me to the appropriate resource(s)?

Thank-you for your time.

John replied:

Hi, Toni —

I would start by contacting the Town Hall in Camigliano. It sounds like your typical Italian village which are historically "parish oriented".

By that I mean, the subdivisions go by the parish names.

Richard replied:

Hi, Toni —

Archbishop Rocco was Apostolic Nuncio to Brazil and died in 1982.

You may want to try googling his name under "images" or going to his diocesan web site.
You can probably find it below.

Catholic Hierarchy has basic data about him in English. I used their alphabetical list of all bishops to find information on him.
