Valerie,
That's a great question. We could
make the statement that God is everywhere,
and it would be true but
it's not true that God has
become everything. God and His creation
are starkly different, except
for Him becoming a part of it in
Jesus.
In Jesus, God united Himself with
a created human nature, and then
after His Resurrection,
He sent His Spirit to unite Himself
with all of human nature through
Baptism . . . that would include me and
you. Because of the Incarnation and
Resurrection (and consequently our
faith and Baptism), the human body
has become divinized. We can be like
God, living with His Life and being
His children. Having supernatural
life, animating our human body rather
than only biological life, is an amazing
reality won for us by Christ.
Feel free to follow-up if there are
other angles of your question you would like to examine.
Peace,
Paul
