Hi, guys —
My daughter was invited to go to Disneyland this summer with some very close friends of ours.
Since we have a large family, we have never financially been able to take a trip like this. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her. She also suffers from a lot of anxiety, so going on this trip would be a huge step for her to tackle that anxiety.
The problem is that this family is not Catholic, and my daughter would miss one Sunday Mass on the trip. As much as I want to let her go, I'm not sure if we should let her go because of this. We are a faithful Catholic family that never misses Mass unless someone misses due to illness.
- Would it be right to ask my priest for a dispensation for her and let her go?
