Hi guys,

I will be out of town (in Las Vegas) during an upcoming weekend. I am not sure of where to find a Catholic church nor if I can find one at all.

My husband has suggested that we pray the Rosary in place of attending Mass but I am very uncomfortable about missing Mass.

  • Can you give me some guidance?

Thank you for your assistance!

  { Where can we find a Catholic Mass in Las Vegas and can we substitute the Rosary for the Mass? }

John replied:

Hi Anonymous,

Here is a link to the Diocese of Las Vegas:

Roman Catholic Diocese Of Las Vegas — Parish Information/Directory

It lists several parishes with links to their Mass Schedules.

Good Luck,

John

Dear Anonymous,

Any time you need to find a church, consult www.masstimes.org.

I thought there used to be a toll free number. Either they could no longer afford the 800 number (likely) or another organization runs it.

The Contact Us page should help you.

Eric

Anonymous,

There is actually a Catholic Church right near the strip in Las Vegas.

I am not sure whether one of my colleagues knows the name, but the local hotel in that area will know.

No, you cannot substitute the Rosary.

Mary Ann
