Congratulations, and welcome aboard!

Feel free to adopt any patron saint you like. There's no procedure involved.

If you took one or more saints' names at Baptism, Confirmation, or both, those are good candidates.

Just out of curiosity I looked up the name "Gary" on dictionary.com and got this:

Dictionary.com search results for Gary

3. a male given name: from an Old English word meaning spear bearer.

Maybe a patron with a warrior-like name like St. Mark would be a good choice. As Richard said, it's your choice! Just pray over it and ask the Lord to assist you in choosing a good Patron.

One of the Early Church Fathers would be a great choice! like Justin Martyr or Ignatius of Antioch.
