Hi, guys —

My question is:

Is oral sex a sin when done during a love making session?

My wife believes it is and I believe it isn't. She believes she will go to Hell if she does it.

Mary Ann replied:

Anthony,

Fellatio that causes a man to ejaculate intentionally outside of the vagina is a moral wrong.

A woman may fellate her husband to help arouse him but he ought not to require her to do anything she finds objectionable.

Bob replied:

Anthony,

You should check some recent postings on our site for more details that may pertain to your situation but the answer is no, there are however qualifications.

Ejaculation is still reserved for intercourse because the man's seed must not be misdirected from its ultimate end.

Essentially, as long as the procreative and unitive elements of the marital act are not separated from each other, you are okay.

Be patient and sensitive to your wife and she may get past this difficulty.

Peace,

Bob Kirby
