I'm not sure what you mean by grandstanding.
- Why would it be grandstanding
for non-Catholics to be in the
choir but not grandstanding for
Catholics to be part of the choir?
- Where is the choir, in the rear
loft or in the sanctuary?
In any case, to answer your question,
the Church does not address this
issue, and in my judgment there is
no reason to oppose it.
It might
even be a way of exposing them to
Catholicism and drawing them to the faith
for ultimate conversion.
