Hi, Kathy —
If you stub your toe and unconsciously
say blankety tee, blank, blank, although that accident
may have no intended culpability,
it points to a greater systemic [problem|habit]
of knowingly using the Lord's
name in vain.
In either case, mentioning the situation
in the confessional and receiving
the appropriate counsel from the
confessor will always help.
Remember one of the great things
about Confession is that for whatever sins we mention to the priest,
we always receive the sacramental graces
not to commit those sins again.
A little humility in Confession, mentioning that extra sin we are
afraid to, can yield big spiritual
dividends.
Hope this helps,
Mike
