Hello Howard,
We usually give answers to doctrinal
and historical type questions, but
since you asked, my advice is to
not go through with what would be
an invalid marriage in Las Vegas.
Living in such an invalid marriage
is equivalent to living in perpetual
adultery.
Her marriage is presumed
valid until or unless an annulment
is declared by the Church; and you,
as a Catholic, are bound to marry
within the confines of Church law.
Factors like age, dependency of children,
and status are not relevant when
it comes to proceeding according
to God's will in the sacrament of
marriage. One must always love God
first and their (potential) spouse
second.
Peace,
Paul
