Dear Tony,
Divorced people are allowed to fully participate in the life of the Church, including the sacraments.
The only thing that might prevent a divorced person from receiving the Eucharist would be an attempted second marriage without the first one (marriage) being declared invalid. It is not divorce, but adultery that would keep a divorced person from reception of the sacraments.
Even if a person is living in a non-marital or invalid union (which would be adultery or fornication, depending on the circumstances), that person may still attend, pray and participate at Mass.
They may also receive Eucharist if the person is repentant and living chastely with the other partner.
Mary Ann
