Hi, guys —

  • What does the Bible say about women covering their hair/head?

Eric replied:

Hi, Yolly —

This is covered in 1 Corinthians 11 which says that women should cover their heads and men should not.

The Holy See made a determination a few years ago that this does not pertain to the deposit of faith but was a matter of culture and Church discipline. It was in effect in the 1917 Code of Canon Law but this was abolished in 1983 and not restored in the new code.
