You are right that on the surface. Things don't always look sensible however if she is able to marry again, it is only because the first marriage was declared nullified, which follows an in depth adjudication.

As far as the kids goes, they are not directly relevant to the question of the validity of a former marriage but could have provided additional evidence to the lack of validity.

All that being said, Christ is merciful and gives us all the grace to move beyond our sin.

Perhaps this woman has had a real change of heart and now will provide a more stable two-parent home for her children. Let's pray that God's grace is active in her life and she will now make better choices.
