Dear Andrew,
Although she is now free to marry because the bond no longer exists, the case at that point would be completed.
If there is somehow a restriction placed on your wife it could still delay things for your marriage in the Church. Only a small percentage of cases in most Tribunals fall into this category.
Call the first diocese and make them aware that your wife's first husband has passed and I am sure they will inform the second diocese.
