Mike,
There are two ways of reading this question:
- She left the Church and joined the Episcopal church and married while she was in the Episcopalian church, or,
- she married an Episcopalian man.
- In the first reading, she would need to speak to her Pastor and reconcile with the Catholic Church. If she is already remarried, she would need to get that marriage validated prior to receiving Holy Communion but if she is not remarried, after reconciling, she is free to partake in the Sacraments.
- In the second reading, i.e. She married an Episcopalian, she might have been given a dispensation by the Church and, if so, would need an annulment if she were to be remarried or wanted to remarry in the near future.
In both cases, if she is not currently married or getting married she can come back to the Sacraments without an annulment.
I hope I didn't make this answer unnecessarily unclear by my reading it two ways.
