I am a baptized and confirmed Catholic who is 61. I have just returned to church after a 44-year absence. I am married to a non-Catholic and we were not married in the Church.
- I am working to get my marriage blessed by the Catholic Church but was wondering if I could receive Holy Communion before getting our marriage blessed?

You should wait but it should not take long.
- Were you or your wife married before?
- What is the delay?
Talk to your priest and see what the time line is.

We were both married before and both marriages were annulled through the Church. We just need to set a date to get our marriage blessed.
