Hi, guys —

I am very troubled upon an issue and need some guidance.

An atheist challenged me at church last weekend and I would really appreciate your affirmation. Forgive me, the question is a bit crude but I feel it best to seek Holy direction.

The question is as follows:

"If Adam and Eve were a creation of God and in the Old Testament homosexuality is discouraged:

You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female: it is an abomination.
Leviticus 18:22, 20:13

  • then why did God create Adam with the Gräfenberg spot located only where homosexual intercourse can access?

I replied with the answer that God is merely testing us in order to prove our loyalty to Him.
Even though I wholly believe this, I wish for a confirmation of my reply.

Amelia

  { Can you confirm the answer I gave to an atheist dealing with Leviticus 18-20 and homosexuality? }

Bob replied:

Dear Amelia,

You have been grossly misled. Gräfenberg was an often controversial (and rightly so) physician who studied woman's orgasm — thus the g-spot is so named for him — as a place inside a woman's vagina that is highly sensitive and can lead to female orgasm when stimulated. There is no corollary in the male, nor does a man have a vagina, although in this day and age confusion abounds.

Male and female sexual parts are complementary and any intelligent discussion should center on that. Then you may proceed to talk about God's plan from a human dynamic.

Truth need not fear honest discussion with unbelievers. Be courageous and don't worry. You have the Lord and He has you. If you don't know about something, just say, that doesn't sound right to me, let me look into it and I'll get back to you.

Peace,

Bob Kirby

Paul replied:

Dear Amelia,

I've never heard of any Gräfenberg spot and don't think I'm interested in learning but it is clear that God's will for human sexuality is for one man and one woman to exclusively unite (love) and procreate (life) within the Covenant of Marriage.

Union and procreation are the meaning and purpose of human sexuality.

Pleasure is not a purpose but rather a motive and benefit. One can never seek pleasure by perverting an act to contradict its purpose. Therefore, homosexual acts and other perversions of sexuality are unnatural and the matter of mortal sin.

Peace,

Paul

Eric replied:

Amelia,

  • You might ask him if God was so focused on homosexuality, why did he design our bodies so that only heterosexual sex is fruitful?

Our human species cannot survive [from generation to generation] without heterosexual sex. This is not the case with homosexual sex.

I would go back to him and challenge him to provide scientific evidence for his assertion. I have never heard it myself. Since only women have a g-spot, I am having difficulty coming up with an explanation of how only lesbian sex can gratify the g-spot.

Eric

Amelia replied:

Thank you all for your replies.

I much appreciate the confirmation on the matter however prior to asking my question, I did my own research on the phenomenon and such a thing does exist. There are many articles on the internet covering the matter and its existence.

Therefore, I am wondering what message God is sending us, as homosexual sex clearly cannot be as fruitful as heterosexual sex.

  • Is His placement of both g-spots, male and female, a directive that all relationships should be as beneficial, enjoyable, and equal as each other?
  • And if so, why would His Voice speak other tones within the Bible?

Thank you for your assistance on this matter.

Amelia

Paul replied:

Amelia,

You're making the mistake of thinking that because something might be pleasurable it is good and right. Many people find great pleasure in:

  • doing drugs
  • alcoholism
  • pornography, and
  • other perversions of well being and morality.

Pleasure is not an indication of God's will or what is right. Pleasure is good only when it is a benefit of behaving according to the natural design of our Creator.

Peace,

Paul

Amelia replied:

Thanks for the reply Paul.

Yes, I see that such activities are against the moral code we are brought up with and that we should sideline any pleasurable atrocities for righteousness, however, I cannot help but consider the fact that Adam was created, by our God, before Eve was, to eat the fruit of the Forbidden Tree.

Thus, surely such acts of pleasure replacing morality were not actually committable, as sin was foreign to the Garden of Eden, and so:

  • Why would God create Adam with a body that was inclined to commit acts deemed to be unjust and sinful?

Amelia

Eric replied:

Amelia,

Our bodies are inclined in many ways toward committing acts that are unjust and sinful.

It's part of the Fall so perhaps God didn't create us in this fashion but it is part of fallen human nature.

Eric

Bob replied:

Amelia,

You are making two mistakes:

  1. one, is believing a misinformation industry that has a homosexual agenda;
  2. two, that even if there were an area of sensitivity (in the male colon) that can be pleasurable if stimulated that it is a-priori sexual. There is no g-spot in a man's anus that has any type of sexual function. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply trying to justify the homosexual agenda.

For example, here is a hypothetical. Say there was an area of cells in the colon that had a special sensitivity to help stimulate bowel movements and it happened to elicit a pleasure response when rubbed.

  • Would that mean that God intended to encourage grossly disordered artificial sexual activity that puts the very health of the persons involved at great risk to themselves?
  • Furthermore do you see any evidence of so-called scientists using their prestige to justify and promote activities contrary to nature?

Consider Gräfenberg himself, the inventor and promoter of inter-uterine devices, which while promoting unfettered (anti-procreation) sexual activity for women brings substantial risk to their own health with a proven increased risk of cervical cancer.

Stick with truth. Principles will withstand scientific scrutiny in the hands of the righteous scientists but don't expect to find them in the mainstream media.

Peace,

Bob Kirby
