Hi, guys —
Good Afternoon,
During Holy Week my family and I have always gone to church for Mass on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. We've never missed a day.
- Is it obligatory for me to go all four days?
- Can I go with them to Mass on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday and not go on Holy Saturday?
Holy Week was pushed back by two weeks this year and my best friend has her 21st birthday on Holy Saturday. She said it would be extremely important for me to be there.
- Is it alright for me to go to her birthday party on Saturday and go to Mass the remaining three days?

Jannete,
Yes, you may. There is no obligation for the entire Triduum, and if there were, Saturday and Sunday are both Easter feasts anyway, so if you go Sunday, you have Easter covered.
Go to the party and you'll be fine.
Peace,
Bob Kirby
