Hi, guys —

I'm 29 years old and I still don't have girlfriend and, with this pandemic situation, I don't think I can meet people.

  • What should I do?
  • Am I getting too old to have a family?

Miguel

Bob replied:

Dear Miguel,

Thanks for the question.

Don't worry, you are not too old. I was 30 years old when I met my wife, and we married at 32. You should pray to God to ask for His guidance in your vocation.

  • Are you certain that marriage is your calling?
  • Have you ever discerned the priesthood or even the single life devoted to God?

Your happiness will be found in whatever path God wants for you when you have embraced it fully.

Peace,

Bob Kirby

Miguel replied:

Hi Robert,

Thanks for answering my question.

Well, I think marriage is my vocation because I have always been interested in meeting a woman.

The problem that I'm having is that I have an eye illness called double vision that doesn't allow me to concentrate in conversations and I have difficulties making friends.

I have never thought about priesthood or single life devoted to God but I'm open to any path that God wants for me. I will pray to God for His guidance.

Thank you so much Robert for sharing your story. It gives me a peace of mind that I'm not too old yet.

Miguel
