Hi, guys —

I was praying the Rosary last night and after I had finished, my Rosary snapped in half.

  • I wasn't purposely trying to pull it apart or anything so — I was wondering what does a broken Rosary symbolize?

Thanks so much!

Cole

Eric replied:

Cole.

I doubt that it symbolizes anything. Not every apparently unexplained occurrence has a symbolism attached to it; it was probably just coincidence, a result of the age of the Rosary or perhaps a manufacturing defect.

In any case, neither the Church nor the Saints address such a situation, so it will have to remain a mystery.
