Hi, guys —
Today, Good Friday, April 15, 2022, on EWTN TV in Rome, the services included distributing Holy Communion.
I never saw that before, since if there is no Mass, there is no consecration, and therefore no Holy Communion.

Dear Veronica,
Thanks for the question.
Prior to the liturgical reforms which happened in 1956, only the priest would consume the Sacred Host (presanctified from the Mass on Holy Thursday).
Since that time however all Catholics have been able to receive Communion. It is the norm in virtually all parishes, and of course, Rome.
It is a bit confusing since no Mass is celebrated on Good Friday, so I can understand your question.
Peace,
