Andrew A. wrote:

Hi, guys —

I'm a Christian, with a Muslim girlfriend and we are planning on getting married (in the Church) but my parents are not agreeing because of our culture and religious differences. When I think about Jesus Christ, He never told us to discriminate against any culture or religion.

My question is:

  • If my Muslim girlfriend gets baptized, can we get married in the Catholic Church?

Andrew

Eric replied:

Yes, Andrew —

You can certainly marry her if she converts.

Eric

Andrew replied:

Eric,

For sure, she will get baptized in the Church and we will get married in the Church though my parents keep saying I can't.

Thank you so much for clearing this up.

Andrew
