We are several individuals, and I can't speak for others (and invite their opinions), but I will speak for myself. I do not speak for the Catholic Church. 

I think it's fairly safe ground to say our country has strayed significantly from God, and would benefit from a return to God as revealed in the teachings of the Catholic Church. 

It is also true that our struggle is not against flesh and blood; read Ephesians 6:12. One only need look at the news to see that Satan is having a field day. 

“If someone is angry with you or treats you badly, reckon that it is not the man, but the demons troubling him. Have mercy on him as one suffering from a spiritual sickness, and do not return evil for evil.”

At the same time, we must, must, must avoid aligning spiritual fronts with political fronts. Satan is working both sides feverishly. We must not deify one party over the other, supposing that the cause of one is simply "just" and the other simply "unjust". Keep your eyes on Christ, not on princes (Psalm 146:3). 

Live for Jesus Christ and lead others to do so as well. Focus on your own sins and not those of others. Live mercy and be merciful. Do not judge anyone. Avoid rage mongers.

Because Fox News never aired any of Charlie's on-campus debates, I never appreciated them until his passing when I started watching them via YouTube Premium.

That said, I would encourage faithful practicing Catholic Christian to start up Turning Point USA chapters in your local town/city today!

I most definitely agree with Erica!!

But let's be honest guys, though we do have some fine Christian groups spreading the faith in the USA, many of the younger generation in Christendom were never properly catechized correctly.

As one of my colleagues has said, in the Church, some of the youth have been sacramentalized but not evangelized. In "some" parishes we are only starting to learn about the Early Church Fathers while others have no idea what Catholic Apologetics is.

Since our Spiritual life is the foundation for our (civic/vocational) actions, if you don't have a solid spiritual like, poor choices will follow which can greatly effect society and the world.

One of the best things about being a Catholic is, if we partake in the sacraments faithfully, our mind and soul see "issues", what is reported in the local and main stream news, with a Catholic Christian (eyes/view), so we can make better choices for ourselves and our own family.
