Mike replied:

Dear Sarah,

This website (below) will help you locate the nearest Catholic parish and priest in your area. He should be able to provide the appropriate guidance for you to enter the Church.

Look at all these pages and you should be able to find out the next step in your faith journey.

Here is the contact page.

Your desire to be a Catholic Christian shows that the Spirit is moving in your life. Read these web pages for further encouragement.

That's the best I can do.  Follow the Spirit and . . . Welcome to the family!

Mike

John replied:

Dear Sarah,

I'm thrilled to hear that the Holy Spirit is calling you to the Catholic Christian faith and will pray for you. I advise you to be discreet. I'm not trying to discourage you but you may run into some hesitation from the priest.

My understanding is that the Indian government frowns on any conversions from any religion in which one is born, to any other religion. I believe this is to keep the peace between Hindus and Muslims . . . and I hear there are specific laws against proselytizing in India.

None of this should deter you from following the Truth. Just be aware that if my information is correct, you may run into headwinds in India. Those may also include being ostracized by the Hindu community.

You will be in my prayers,

John

Saarya replied:

Thank-you Mike and John,

I agree with you.

For that reason, I did not use my real first name.

Thanks for your response Sirs.

Saarya
