Hi, Cathy —
The age when Catholics are confirmed in the Church will vary. Typically, Confirmation
is received around the ninth or tenth grade,
if we are talking about the Latin or Western Rite
of the Church.
In the Eastern Rites, they typically administer
this sacrament to infants when they are baptized.
At the same time, they also receive Holy Communion.
A few decades ago, in the United States, it was
more common for Confirmation to be administered as
early as fourth grade but, more often than
not, it was administered somewhere between the sixth and eighth grades.
