This is the media stereotyping how they want the current culture to view the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church loves the homosexual community and all those with homosexual desires in the true sense of the word, love.
Jesus and the Church love them to much to take a passive attitude toward their sexual struggles and desires and this is why the Church has a ministry just for this group of people called:
Plus, keep in mind that the Lord understands these struggles. He, Himself said:
The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41; Mark 14:38)
He didn't say:
As long as the spirit is willing, having a weak flesh is OK.
He does not deny the weakness of the flesh. He understands the struggles because He was a man like us in all things but sin.
What the media never talks about is the physiology of this issue. Physiology is a sub science of biology that deals with how living organisms (and people) interact with other living organisms (and people). Our Lord created and designed a man's body to work with a women's body.
Denying this would be like saying:
- Biology is racist and demeaning or
- Physiology is racist and demeaning
No, what would be demeaning and un-American would be to infringe among religious conscience of faithful Christian men and women who love the sinner, but hate the sin, and therefore cannot approve ceremonies and related requests by same-sex couples which conflict with their Christian faith.
Note that the only science the mainstream media wish to talk about are the sciences that completely ignore and deny the Creator and His Designs on mankind and focus on man playing with the designs of God. i.e.:
- (IVF) In-Vitro Fertilization
- (AI) Artificial Insemination procedures, and
- Surrogacy
