Hi, Jakob!
Pope St. John Paul II has been encouraging the promotion of married saints, so
I hope we will see more of them in the future. One couple likely to be
beatified are the parents of St. Therese of Lisieux, Doctor of the Church, Louis
and Zélie Martin. (Wikipedia)
When I think of what married saints are recognized so far, most of the examples
that come to mind are:
There are a few married people who became saints without belonging to
any special category, such as St. Isidore; the farmer (Spain).
Of course, some kinds of saints have an advantage as candidates for beatification
and canonization. Members of religious orders, for example, are associated
with an organized group that can work for their cause over many years.
