Does one's parents have to have been married in the Catholic

Paul replied:
Dear Song,
What religion one's parents are, or whether or not they are Catholics in good
standing, should have nothing to do with a person's desire to convert to
Catholicism.
Anyone may become Catholic if they sincerely want to be.
Paul
