Hello Dear friends,

  • Don't you fear that some people might be too judgmental on others?
  • Don't you fear the Church could be unintentionally prejudice against others for being different? (Like being gay or being a medium or psychic, etc.)

All I would like is a little peace.

Thank you for your time.

Kevin

Bob replied:

Kevin,

We all want peace, but often the way there is not a straight line. Consider what Jesus said,

"I have not come to bring peace but rather a sword that will divide..."

(Matthew 10:34)

Often when we speak the truth others will take offense and this will happen even when we speak in love. Therefore, we should not be silent, but speak in love and hope that hearts are changed.

If you examine the Church's announcements and declarations, you will find that there is love and sensitivity but always a boldness in the truth. What individuals do and say may fall short, but that should not keep us silent as a whole.

Peace,

Bob Kirby
