I like your sense of humor. It would certainly make a great spoof, but to your point, most antipopes were involved in some sort of political rivalry, based on competing factions or regions of the Italian city states, therefore they did not recognize each other — at least until one prevailed.
Then, there would be submission, either by:
- negotiation
- coercion, or
- simple capitulation.
