We continue to pray that God guides us continually into the truth. I expect the situation will tear the Church apart in some ways because, as you say, millions of Catholics have bought into it.

I also expect that the official teaching will not change and that will make it harder to be a faithful Catholic from the persecution that the rest of the world will serve up.

Lastly, we will continue to love all people. Sexual attraction issues should, in no way, take away from that fact. We love them, pray from them, explain why we disagree on the marriage issue, and deal with the aftermath.

Jesus was persecuted and He said to his followers they would be too, because the world does not want the truth — so it will be for us.
