Dear Walter,
The doxological ending to Matthew 6:13 appears in some manuscripts of St. Matthew's Gospel, but not all. That's why some Bibles have it at the end of the Our Father in Matthew (e.g. the King James and New King James) and others don't (e.g. the New Revised Standard — Catholic Edition).
We use at Mass in our worship service as a doxology (a liturgical formula of praise to God) or response after the words Our Lord told us to say when praying the Our Father in Matthew 6:9-13.

As for taking power, no one in the Church should be taking power. Apostles and Disciples of Christ are here to serve, not to be served. Sadly we have many in our Church who scandalize the faith though it doesn't affect the purity of the faith or the Church's teaching itself.
I hope this helps,
Mike
