Hi, Mike —

  • Will you ever be able to run the free programs again?

I am 22 years-old, live in the United States, do not have a job, but am in the process of trying to get one.

I have been looking into the Catholic religion and have been looking for free resources to help me with my journey.

Please reply.

Thank You.

  { Will you be able to run the Free Catechism of the Catholic Church and Rosary programs again? }

Mike replied:

Dear Robbye,

I think the programs you are talking about our the free Catechism of the Catholic Church program and FREE Rosary program.

I don't have the money I used to but there's some good news.

If you do a Google search on "free rosary beads" you will find numerous organizations that can send you one or more if you wish; try a few organizations. I've also attached my What is the Rosary [About the Holy Rosary] document below.

On the Catechism: the best I can do is direct you to a cheap Catechism on Amazon. Some are as low as $5 — $10 and in readable condition.

Here are the Apostolate documents I sent out for both the Rosary and Brown Scapular programs.

If there is anything else I can do, just ask,

Mike

Robbye replied:

Mike,

I do not have money to order any Catechism but would like a hard copy.

  • What should I do?

Robbye

Mike replied:

Robbye,

The only way I see to learn about the faith is to read an online version of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

I use the St. Charles Borromeo version of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

There are also many free PDF versions of the Catechism that you can download and read on your PC or Kindle. Just google it and choose one.

A hardcover Catechism will cost about $5 — $10.00. You can ask a friend if you can loan him the money for a while, or better, if there is a Catholic parish in your area, call and tell them your interest in learning more about the Catholic faith and getting a hardcover version of the Catechism.

If you get turned down at one parish try a few others. I'm sure one will be able to spare an extra copy.

Mike
